For those of you who keep abreast of IT-related news you won’t be surprised to learn about the silent, booming business of building data centers. Yes, it seems that at least some of the predictions during the Dot.com bubble have finally come true, (although it also seems its too little too late to help all the stock losses associated with the dot.com bust.)
Now it seems Dell has thrown it’s hat into the mix too and Central Washington, again, stands to gain.
If you form a Triangle between The Dalles, Or (yes we Realize The Dalles is in Oregon but for all intents it’s in the Central, Wa economic bubble), Kennewick and Wenatchee, Washington you have what we would call the Data Center Hot spot. Of course you can’t forget the Silicon Valley and Seattle and Portland but what’s so great about Central Washington?

Oh and don’t forget Dell. They’ve just completed a land purchase in Quincy, Washington- a small community just outside the bustling metropolis of Moses Lake. If Dell’s plan is carried out it will mean a 250,000 Square Foot Data Center over time.
