FAQ - POP Email Clients - New Accounts

How Do I Setup An Email Address In Entourage 2004, 2008, & 2010?

Description: The steps below assume that you have a valid, active email account already setup with SolutionPro. While you are in the Entourage program, perform the following steps:

  1. Click  the Tools menu
  2. Click Accounts
  3. Click New
  4. Click the Configure Account Manually button
  5. Select POP from the dropdown
  6. Click Ok
  7. Type your email address in the account name field
  8. Type your name in the Name field
  9. Type your Full Email Address in the Account ID field
  10. Type in the following for POP server: mail.spro.net
  11. Type in the following for SMTP server: mail.spro.net
  12. Type your Password

    NOTE: OPTIONAL If you have your own domain name and your email does not end with @spro.net, change the POP3 & SMTP server settings to: mail.yourdomain.com

  13. Click on the, Click here for advanced sending options button
  14. Uncheck SMTP Service Requires SSL
  15. Check Override default SMTP port
  16. Type 587 in the SMTP Port field
  17. Click the check box SMTP server requires authentication box
  18. Close the settings window
  19. Click Ok

NOTE: If your internet service is with a different provider such as Cableone, Verizon, Clear, or someone other than SolutionPro; you will need to contact their support team and ask them for the outgoing email client settings. SolutionPro does not have the ability to manage outbound email restrictions set in place by another provider. If this scenario applies to you, all outgoing email support questions will need to be directed to your ISP.
